While I supply the acrylic print and metal print itself, mounting hardware isn’t typically included unless specified. However, I will provide instructions and guidelines  to help you choose the right hardware and carry out the installation with confidence.

Common Mounting Options:

Wire or Hanging Block on the Back

The print has a hanging wire or block fitted at the back so it can hang from a single hook. 

Best for small-to-medium prints and simpler installations.

Ideal if your wall is standard drywall and you want a clean, classic hanging style.

Flush or Hidden Backframe / Aluminium Backframe

The print is mounted on a slim backframe (aluminium or similar) that sits almost flush with the wall. 

Good for medium-to-large prints where you want a very minimal look without visible hanging hardware.

Choose this when your décor is modern and you want the print to command attention without distractions.

Standoff Bolts / Corner Posts / Floating Mount / French Cleat

Mounting systems that use visible or hidden hardware so the print appears to “hover” or float slightly away from the wall. 

Best for larger prints, high-traffic areas, or feature walls where the mounting system becomes part of the design.

Choose this when you want a bold presentation, or when the wall might not be totally flat or you want to avoid the print sitting directly against the wall.

Adhesive or No-Drill Options (for Lightweight Prints Only)

Uses strong adhesive strips or mounting plates to affix the print, no drilling needed. 

Suitable only for small, lightweight prints and smooth, stable wall surfaces.

Choose this if you’re in a rental, cannot drill into the wall or prefer minimal installation impact—but only for lighter pieces.

How to Choose the Right Option:

Consider print size & weight: Larger/heavier prints require more robust mounting (backframe + standoff bolts or cleats) rather than simple wire hanging. 

Check your wall type & installation ability: Drywall, concrete, brick and other surfaces behave differently. Some mounting systems require anchors or studs. 

Match it to your décor style: If you favour a clean, minimal, modern aesthetic,  frameless or floating mounts work well. For a more structured look, a backframe may be appropriate.

Think about permanence vs flexibility: If you may relocate the artwork or change wall surfaces later, choose a mounting system that allows removal or reuse (wire or cleat).

Factor in lighting, position, wall contact: If the print is placed in a bright room, near windows or in a high-traffic hallway, a mount that allows some distance from the wall (floating) helps avoid glare and allows air circulation.

You can display your metal print beautifully in various ways depending on your wall type, décor style, and how permanent or flexible you want the display to be. Below are common hanging methods and tips on how to pick the best one for your space:

1. Float Mount (Wire or Hanging Block on the Back)

A hanging wire or block is attached to the back of the print so it appears to “float” slightly away from the wall. 

Best for medium-sized prints and for rooms where you want a modern, minimal look.

Choose this if your wall is stable and you’re comfortable using a single hook or screw.

2. Standoff / Corner Posts (Bolts or Posts at the Corners or Edges)

The print is mounted with visible standoff bolts or posts at its corners, which hold it away from the wall and create a bold, industrial effect. 

Ideal for larger prints or feature-walls where the mounting hardware can contribute to the aesthetic.

Requires drilling and anchoring—so best when you’re okay with a more permanent installation.

3. French Cleat / Z-Bar Mounting System

A two-part bracket system: one part is fixed to the wall, the matching part goes on the print and then locks into place. 

Great for heavier or larger metal prints, or if you might want to remove or reposition the artwork later.

Choose this if you value strength and flexibility and have a sturdy wall setup.

4. Adhesive / No-Drill Options (Only for Small & Lightweight Prints)

Some lightweight prints can be hung with strong adhesive strips or mounting plates without drilling. 

Only recommended for small prints, lightweight displays, and when drilling into the wall is not desired.

Not suitable for large or heavy metal prints—adhesives may fail over time or under load. 

How to decide which is best for your space:

Wall type & strength: If your wall is drywall or masonry, heavy prints best use screw anchors, cleats or standoffs.

Print size and weight: Larger/heavier prints need more secure systems (cleats, standoffs). Smaller ones can use simpler methods.

Desired look: Float mounts give a clean, sleek look; standoffs add visible hardware and depth; cleats give a flush but secure finish; adhesives give minimal hardware visibility.

Flexibility vs permanence: If you might move the print later, choose a method that allows easy removal (cleat or wire). If it’s a permanent installation, go for a solid fix.

Installation comfort level: Some methods require tools, drilling, and anchors. If you prefer minimal work, go for simpler methods suitable for smaller prints.
