I’m Sonali Shah — an artist who paints stories of nature, travel, and memories.
Through my work, I strive to capture not just what we see, but what we feel.
Alongside my own creations, I love bringing personal stories to life on canvas — from cherished homes to unforgettable places.
My Journey
Art has been a gentle companion since childhood. Growing up in a creative home, I was encouraged to observe, to express, and to dream.
That early spark eventually led me to J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai, where I was mentored, challenged, and shaped.
A National Award for a poster on Anti-Dowry confirmed my belief in the power of art to speak, move, and create change.
Life then flowed into new chapters — advertising, family, and homemaking — before the colors called me back.
In 2019, with renewed passion, I returned to my easel. This time, I painted not just what I saw, but what I felt — joy, culture, history, and the quiet wisdom of nature.
Nature as Muse
Nature is my sanctuary.
The rustling leaves, changing skies, and the scent of earth after rain — all find their way into my brushstrokes.
Through vibrant hues and expressive textures, I strive not only to depict nature, but to breathe life into it on canvas.
Custom Art with Heart
Beyond my own explorations, I cherish creating art that reflects the stories of others.
Some of my most meaningful works have been custom commissions —
A House portrait gifted by a daughter to her parents,
A Himalayan landscape painted to preserve a traveler’s memory,
and Echoes of Harmony, celebrating a love for music.

Life Beyond the Canvas
Yoga, fitness, conscious living, good books, and meaningful conversations bring grounding and vitality to my life
— and they spill into my art.
I live in Pune with my wonderful husband and two inspiring children.
Along with my parents, they remain my biggest cheerleaders — a constant source of strength, love, and creative inspiration.
